Our Neurosurgery department is concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of patients with injury to, or diseases/disorders of the brain, spinal cord, spinal column, spinal cord tumor, and peripheral nerves within all parts of the body.
Dependent on the nature of the injury or disease our neurological surgeon provides surgical and or non-surgical care.
Neurosurgeons provide the operative and non-operative management (i.e., prevention, diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, critical care, and rehabilitation) of neurological disorders. Our neurosurgeons have vast experience as neurosurgical specialists who can also help patients suffering from back and neck pain, as well as a host of other illnesses ranging from trigeminal neuralgia to head injury. Our neurosurgeons are highly dependent on diagnostic imaging. And the neurosurgeon must become proficient in the interpretation of a variety of imaging studies, including X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), CT, Nerve conduction study, EMG, EEG, and angiography.
